Yes, you may of heard about it already. It’s not a new thing that certain policies are reviewed and this is just the latest one of those, for sure. It is though fairly strategic in nature and, worth considering the implications that it could have for your targeted web traffic.

Google has started coming down hard on affiliate advertisers using PPC. Lets understand why? It’s because (in the eyes of google) affiliates offer little or no value on their sites. The users experience is degraded and therefore Google is degraded. Something that is against the Google philosophy obviously.
